PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly change the interval of the timings or crank angles of several times of ignition, in an internal combustion engine having a fuel injection valve for directly injecting fuel into cylinders and an ignition device for performing several times of ignition to the air-fuel mixture. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine has a fuel injection valve for directly injecting fuel into cylinders and an ignition device for performing several times of ignition to the air-fuel mixture. An engine control device comprises: a means for monitoring battery voltage; and an ignition control device for changing the interval of the timings or crank angles of several times of ignition in response to the battery voltage.
