PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which contributes to the enhancement of diagnostic performance by specifically displaying the margin of a cancer in an acoustic impedance imaging method. SOLUTION: An acoustic impedance of a subject is acquired by converting signals received by an ultrasound probe into complex signals and by obtaining a correlation among the amount of a phase shift, the deviation amount of a central frequency, and an amplitude value of the complex signal (an acoustic impedance computing means). A B-mode image created (a B-mode image creating part 5a51) by the complex signal in accordance with a value of the acoustic impedance undergoes hue modulation (a hue modulation part 5a54), and a distribution value of a pixel value by performing statistical processing on the pixel value of the image data which results from hue modulation is acquired (included in a pixel distribution value recording memory 5a55 by a pixel value distribution statistical processing means). Then, the distribution value of the pixel value (an image distribution value hue modulation part 5a56) undergoes hue modulation, and an ultrasonic image based on the acoustic impedance is created by the image data which results from the hue modulation.
