PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize good exhaust emission control performance at low cost while executing efficient air fuel ratio control in an air-fuel ratio control device for an engine of which atmospheric air side is composed of a plurality of exhaust pipes. SOLUTION: In an electronic control unit 10 as an air fuel ratio control device exhausting exhaust gas to the atmospheric side by the plurality of non-collecting type exhaust pipes 3, 3' and executing air fuel ratio control with using detection signal of O<SB>2</SB>sensors 12, 12', the O<SB>2</SB>sensors 12, 12' are arranged in parallel in the plurality of exhaust pipes 3, 3', an O<SB>2</SB>sensor change over circuit 20 as a conversion/compound means converting plurality of detection signal to pulse signal and outputting the same after compounding the same into one signal is provided in an input front stage part of detection signal output from the O<SB>2</SB>sensors 12, 12', and control is executed with detecting detection data by all O<SB>2</SB>sensors 12, 12' by one input signal.
