PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process of aromatic polycarbonate resin pellets, which can reduce poor cutting, voids, froth formation etc., and obtain pellets steadily and efficiently. SOLUTION: The production process of aromatic polycarbonate resin pellets has: a step to cool a melt extruded aromatic polycarbonate resin strand in a first cooling zone 13a and a step to cut the strand cooled in the first cooling zone while feeding it along with cooling water into a strand cutter 14a, followed by cooling and separating thus obtained pellet/water slurry in a second cooling zone 14b. Temperature t1 of the first cooling zone is set at -90°C to -60°C to the glass transition temperature Tg of aromatic polycarbonate resin, temperature t2 of the second cooling zone is set at -90°C to -50°C to the Tg, and the temperature t2 is same to or higher than t1, that is to say (t1≤t2).
