PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from having discomfort when displaying reproduction progress time during reproduction of audio data. SOLUTION: Reproduction progress time detected from data being reproduced is compared with reproduction progress time currently displayed and output. Based on the comparison result, whether the time value of the reproduction progress time detected in this case is displayed, or the currently displayed reproduction progress time is maintained on the display is decided. For example, if the time value of the detected reproduction progress time is later than the time value of the currently displayed reproduction progress time, the displayed reproduction progress time is maintained.
