PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED driving system and its control method in which a color tone is maintained constant while luminance is controlled even though there exists variation in luminance and color tone for every LED. SOLUTION: The LED driving system is provided with: an LED unit in which a first LED and a second LED are arranged for every pixel; and a data supplying section which supplies gray scale data that are used to determine the light emitting interval of each LED, to every LED. Moreover, the system is provided with a gray scale data converting section. The gray scale data converting section has: a first gray scale data converting means which converts gray scale data related to the color to be originally light emitted by the first LED to the gray scale data for the first LED and the gray scale data for the second LED; and a second gray scale data converting means which converts the gray scale data related to the color to be originally light emitted by the second LED to the gray scale data for the second LED and the gray scale data for the first LED.
