PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin particle dispersion liquid having an improved particle size distribution, and an electrostatic charge image developing toner, a liquid developer, and a coating material which use the above resin particle dispersion liquid. SOLUTION: The resin particle dispersion liquid is prepared by dispersing resin particles containing a polyester resin and contains a sulfur acid and a nitrogen atom-containing compound, wherein (1) the sulfur atom concentration S and the nitrogen atom concentration N in the resin particle dispersion liquid satisfy 1.0≤N/S≤400, (2) the metal concentration in an air-dried product of the resin particle dispersion is 200 ppm or less, and (3) the above nitrogen atom-containing compound is a compound represented by formula (I).
