PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a deodorization method exclusive for an elevator and its deodorization unit which is made impossible or difficult conventionally. SOLUTION: The deodorization method exclusive for the elevator is provided, which is characterized in that an air stream generated at lifting of the elevator is made as an energy source and bad smell generated in the elevator is cleaned utilizing the energy source. The deodorization unit 1 exclusive for the elevator is provided, which is characterized in that an elevator body in which a penetration hole is provided on an upper wall surface in the elevator, a partition plate having a ventilation hole on an inner side part is internally provided and a fan is attached between the upper wall surface and the partition plate; and the deodorization unit in which an air suction port and a blowing port are provided on right and left sides of a frame body filled with a deodorant, the air stream is sucked from the air suction port and is blown out from the blowing port, and air amount adjustment plates are further provided on both side parts of the suction port and the blowing port of the air stream, and the deodorant unit 1 is detachably mounted to the elevator body 7.
