PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range measurement device which is capable of judging immediately assortments of measured result expressed by each letter, such as figure and the like, displayed on an indicator. SOLUTION: A linear distance from a position, from which measuring beam is emitted, to an object to be measured and an inclined angle between a straight line connecting the position, from which measuring beam is emitted, and the object to be measured and a horizontal line are displayed on an external indicator 40b prepared on the lateral surface of a package 2, together with a triangle corresponding to the linear distance and the inclined angle.
