PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water channel cover device for a ditch by which the necessary strength for bearing a large load like a motorcar can be obtained, and a need for any processing on a U-shaped ditch commercially available as a ditch member is eliminated when constructed. SOLUTION: A height raising rod 28 is horizontally installed between the rise edges 6, 6 of both right and left support frames 8, 8. A metal water channel cover member 13 is placed on the height raising rod 28. Both of right and left end parts of each beam member 10 connecting right and left supporting frames 8, 8 are placed on upper end surfaces of right and left side walls 4, 4 comprising the ditch 1 by the intermediary of horizontal edges 7, 7 of the supporting frames 8, 8 or by the horizontal edge 7 of one of the supporting frames 8, 8 and an erected edge 6 of the other supporting frame 8. Thus, the necessary strength for bearing the load can be obtained by the beam member 10 extended on the right and left side walls 4, 4 of the ditch 1 even when the load of a heavy object like the motorcar is applied onto the water channel cover device 5 for the ditch.
