PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting base for a free access floor capable of reducing weight of the whole free access floor. SOLUTION: In this supporting base 23 for the free access floor provided with a floor receiving part 25 for receiving a floor board of the free access floor and a floor supporting part 26 arranged below the floor receiving part 25 to support the floor board and an object put on the floor board through the floor receiving part 25, a platelike member in the floor supporting part 26 is formed into a substantially cylindrical shape.
