PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce the number of times of formation for a nickel- hydrogen battery and to provide a sealed nickel-hydrogen battery having superior high-efficiency discharge performance, low-temperature discharge performance and the function of suppressing pressure increase in the battery. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a hydrogen storage electrode, by electrolytically reducing a hydrogen storage alloy electrode containing hydrogen storage alloy powder as the main component in acid or alkaline aqueous solution, is provided, and the hydrogen storage alloy electrode, obtained by applying electrolytic reduction treatment in acid or alkaline aqueous solution to remove inactive film existing on the surface of hydrogen alloy powder, is provided. |
