PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a nonaqueous lithium ion secondary battery, having proper discharge rate characteristics, cycle characteristics, and resistance against the leakage of liquid. SOLUTION: In this chargeable and dischargeable secondary battery composed of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator and electrolyte, a binding agent of the negative electrode comprises a dry substance of latex, containing a polymer obtained by polymerizing monomers including an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid ester monomer as a component (A), and a polymer obtained by polymerizing monomers, including a styrene-butadiene monomer as a component (B). The negative electrode of this nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery contains 0.1-10.0 pts.wt. in steps of the component (A) and component (B) as a solid part, to 100 pts.wt. of the active material of the negative electrode. |
