PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly judge types of illumination terminals to detect whether or not the illumination terminals connected to the same dimming signal line are of the same type, in a dimming control system that a dimming control device carries out dimming control for illumination terminals of different types. SOLUTION: The dimming control device 2 transmits dimming signals S to dimming signal lines L1, L2, L3, L4, and carries out dimming control of illumination terminals Fa, Fb, R, E of different types separately. Each illumination terminal is provided with line short-circuiting devices 36, 45, 55 with a capacitor having different electrostatic capacity value with each type, and making the dimming signal line short-circuit in a predetermined period of time. When the dimming control device 2 transmits the dimming signal S with a predetermined voltage, a charging time measuring circuit 25 measures and outputs charging time to be the predetermined discharge voltage to a microprocessor 23 for each dimming signal line. The microprocessor 23 judges a type of an illumination terminal connected to each dimming signal line based on the measured charging time, and outputs alarm noise if the type is not the same.
