PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a semiconductor device capable of adjusting an operation level of an overcurrent protection circuit without changing a reference voltage. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes a switching device having a cell separation structure which can output a sense current supplied to a main current by the prescribed shunt ratio from its sense terminal, sense resistance of which one edge is connected to the sense terminal and the other edge is connected to the ground, a correction current generating circuit which supplies a correction current to the one edge of the sense resistance in both directions of discharge and suction, the overcurrent protection circuit which inputs the sense voltage when the sense current and correction current flow the sense resistance, and outputs a stop signal when the sense voltage is larger than the prescribed reference voltage, and a driving circuit which stops driving of a gate of the switching device when receiving the stop signal from the overcurrent protection circuit.
