PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process enormous vehicle information primarily by a communication device at the side of a collecting vehicle by providing a system for collecting the vehicle information by a moving collecting vehicle, and to process the enormous vehicle information by sending processing results to an information collecting device collectively. SOLUTION: The vehicle information collecting system has: a first communication device that is mounted to a first vehicle and has a storage means for storing the vehicle information on the first vehicle and a sending means for sending the vehicle information; a second communication device that is mounted to a second vehicle and receives the vehicle information transmitted by the first communication device; and an information collecting device that is a vehicle information collecting device capable of communicating with the second communication device and stores the vehicle information transmitted from a second transmitting/receiving device.
