PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability low-profile capacitor unit and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: By making a configuration and the manufacturing method of the capacitor unit set, such that a capacitor 11 is held horizontally by a holding section 19 so that a pressure regulation valve 15, provided at a positive electrode 12 in the cylindrical capacitor 11 having electrodes on both end faces, is located at the upper side, and a positioning projection 14, provided at the positive electrode 12 in the capacitor 11, is inserted into a fitting section 21 provided in an upper case 20, the electrodes of the adjacent capacitors 11 are welded and jointed by a bus bar; and finally a bus bar terminal integrated with the bus bar and a circuit board are connected electrically. Thus, with the horizontal arrangement of the capacitor 11 at a holding section and the stress-free welding connection of the bus bar, a high-reliability low-profile capacitor unit can be realized.
