PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the spacer of a flat-panel display capable of easily mounting it during manufacturing step and improving the yield, and the flat-panel display with the spacer capable of making it in a light and thin structure. SOLUTION: The spacer 1 is disposed in the space formed between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode or the gate electrode of the flat-panel display.
