PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute data rearrangement until a designated term date when one or more rearrangement processes of data stored in a volume of a storage system is scheduled. SOLUTION: When migrating data stored in a volume to the other volume, a required time necessary for the migration of data is calculated based on the capacity of the migration data, the volume in which the migration data are stored and the volume configuration information of the volume of the migration destination, and a start time to start the migration of the data is determined, so that a volume migration plan can be prepared. Furthermore, a priority is set in the volume migration plan, and when a time when the prepared volume migration plan is executed is overlapped with a time when the existing volume migration plan is executed, the execution of the volume migration plan whose priority is high is given a priority based on the priority of each volume migration plan, and the start time of at least one volume migration plan is changed.
