PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus capable of preventing ink in a nozzle part from being cured when a thick rigid medium is printed on a platen and making printing with no margin of the rigid medium possible in the inkjet recording apparatus for printing with an active light curing type ink. SOLUTION: UV carriages 8a and 8b and an inkjet head carriage 7 can be respectively individually moved back and forth in the main scanning direction by a multi-slider type linear actuator. By separately controlling these carriages 7, 8a and 8b, before a UV irradiating machine 3 is moved outside of the rigid medium 1 under a condition irradiated with UV in the operation of the margin-free printing, the inkjet head 2 is retreated on an antireflective plate 15 which is separated far away from the UV irradiating machine 3 and which UV does not reach from the UV irradiating machine 3.
