PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball confinement type pinball game machine which generates neither foul balls nor return balls especially problematic along with an expansible playing area by enabling the shooting of balls to aimed positions at a higher precision. SOLUTION: In the ball confinement type pinball game machine equipped with a shootor 31 for shooting game balls 20 to the playing area 4 by the operation of a shooting handle 23, the shootor 31 is arrayed askew above the playing area 4 so as to expand the side way of the playing area. In addition, the shooting port 35 of the shootor 31 is oriented in the direction that allows the game balls 20 shot laterally to be struck into the playing area 4 from sideways so as to shorten the length of the shooting path, thereby eliminating foul balls with a higher shooting precision. Furthermore, a return ball prevention valve 36 is mounted on the shooting port 35 thereby eliminating return balls. A ball feeder provided to meet the need for feeding balls to the shootor 31 from above a game ball stopper concurrently serving as a shot ball recovery storage is so arranged as to feed the game balls 20 received from the game ball storage to the side of the shootor 31 by hitting or throwing them to simplify the structure of the ball feeder, thereby speeding up the ball feeding actions.
