PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve COP and time power consumption of an outdoor unit of an air conditioner by applying contra-rotating fans respectively composed of one blade, and reducing input of two fan motors of the outdoor machine 2 by improving static pressure efficiency. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit 1 is provided with a vertical compressor 3, a heat exchanger 2, and two propeller fans 5, 6 respectively composed of one blade reversely rotating (rotating in directions opposite to each other) as fans for encouraging heat exchange, and balancers 30, 31 for taking dynamic balance with each of blades 20, 25 are disposed inside of hubs 24, 29. Further, a fan motor 7a for rotating the windward propeller fan 5 of two propeller fans, and a fan motor 7b for rotating reversely to the direction of the fan motor 7a, are disposed, and the blades 20, 25 of the propeller fans 5, 6 have the chord shape curved in the directions opposite to each other, and almost line-symmetrically formed in a view of the same axial direction, so that they have the same airflow directions though they are rotated in the directions opposite to each other.
