A synthesizing signal type multiphotographing video recording apparatus for a car is provided to process signals of plural photographing units through a post-processing device, thereby making the multiphotographing video recording apparatus smaller and lighter. A video recording apparatus for a car includes a plurality of photographing units(130a,130b), a detecting unit(150), a memory device(120), and an MCU(Micro Controller Unit)(110). The photographing units convert a photographed video into electronic signals and output the converted signals. The detecting unit detects impact. The memory device stores video information. The MCU controls the whole device. The photographing units are connected to a signal synthesizing unit(200). The signal synthesizing unit is connected to the MCU through a DVC(Digital Video Camera) signal processing unit(133) and a video codec(131). The DVC signal processing unit and the video codec are controlled by a DVC control unit(132). The signal synthesizing unit selects video signals which are varied for a predetermined time and are outputted from each photographing unit, synthesizes the video signals, and inputs the video signals to the DVC signal processing unit.
