BREAKTHROUGH PAIN MANAGEMENT

The present disclosure is directed to a powdered formulation comprising a n analgesic for use in pulmonary inhalation administration for the rapid ana lgesic titration of pain, in particular breakthrough pain. Upon administrati on, the powdered formulation is able to provide a narrower titration range i n patients suffering from pain, as well as effective analgesic amounts in a shorter time and at lower dose levels when compared to the analgesic adminis tered by an oral transmucosal route.
