PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability capacitor unit with the amount of heat generation reduced. SOLUTION: The capacitor unit has a plurality of capacitors 11 having a columnar shape, where an electrode 13 is provided on both end faces of the columnar shape; an internal bus bar 21 where the electrodes 13 are connected so as to be in series, in parallel, or in series and parallel by welding; and a plurality of capacitor blocks 15 comprising an upper case 17 and a lower case 19 holding the capacitors 11 by inserting the upper end face and lower end face of the capacitors 11. The plurality of capacitor blocks 15 are electrically connected, by fixing an external bus bar 31 to an extraction electrode 23 connected to the electrode 13 positioned at the end of the capacitor blocks 15 with screws 37, and a projection is provided at least at an external bus bar 31 at the contact section between the extraction electrode 23 and the external bus bar 31.
