MASK REGION DETERMINER, METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to mask an appropriate region of images showing an anatomic structure of a comparative object to be observed. SOLUTION: An anatomic structure extractor 23 extracts an anatomic structure S having certain positional relations with another anatomic structure from an image I showing the anatomic structure of a comparative object to be observed, and a mask region determiner 24 uses the position of the extracted anatomic structure S as the reference in determining the mask region C on the respective atomic structural images of the comparative object to be observed so that the equivalent parts can agree to each other in their relative positions.
