PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-cooled type cooler capable of reducing generation of pressure loss in a cooling liquid, as much as possible, and to provide a unit for mounting a power element. SOLUTION: The liquid-cooling type cooler 7 is provided with two separated headers 1a, 1b through which a cooling liquid C circulates, and a multi-flow passage pipes 2 disposed between the headers 1a, 1b and allowing the cooling liquid C to circulate, wherein a body 5 to be cooled is attached to one surface of the multi-flow passage pipes 2. In the cooler 7, a water passage through which the cooling liquid C circulates consists of the two headers 1a, 1b; water distribution pipes 3a, 3b for making the cooling liquid C flow to and from the headers 1a, 1b; connection guides 4a, 4b for connecting the water distribution pipes 3a, 3b to the headers 1a, 1b, respectively; and the multi-flow passage pipes 2 to be disposed between the headers 1a, 1b. The water passage is formed so that its cross-sectional area calculated from an equivalent diameter in each cross section does not change from flow-in until flow-out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
