PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an architecture of a battery management system chip with a built-in SRAM and SRAM cache wherein data do not disappear by turning-off of power. SOLUTION: A nonvolatile memory storing an application program for battery management is externally installed on a SRAM built-in battery management chip including a central processing unit (CPU) 110, a ROM 120, and a ROM_RAM decoder 130. When a power source of a main body is turned on or the main body is reset, contents of the nonvolatile memory are written in the SRAM, and the contents of the SRAM are restored by returning to the nonvolatile memory before shutting down of the main body. The writing and restoring are carried out on the basis of a communication protocol. When partially updating a battery management control rule, direct writing into the SRAM can be performed without turning off the power source or reprocessing a battery module.
