PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processor which can suppress erroneous access to sheets existing in an intermediate placement part, while realizing the reduction in size of the apparatus. SOLUTION: The sheet processor includes the intermediate placement part 34 having joggers 51 and 52 for making one end of a transported sheet touch an alignment reference wall 34a for placement, and an upper placement tray 44 disposed on the vertical upper side of the intermediate placement part 34 to make one end of a sheet touch a placement reference wall 44a for placement. The intermediate placement part 34 is displaced at such a position that the alignment reference wall 34a protrudes from the vertical line passing through the placement reference wall 44a of the upper placement tray 44.
