PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply remove foreign matter in a pipe and a using side unit, in a refrigerating apparatus which is made compact so as to be built in a showcase. SOLUTION: This refrigerating apparatus includes: a using side unit 1 provided with a cooling device 11; a heat source side unit; and a refrigerating circuit formed by a liquid refrigerant pipe 3 connecting the using side unit 1 and the heat source side unit and a gas refrigerant pipe 4, wherein the heat source side unit is replaced by a new heat source side unit 102 containing a new refrigerant and a new refrigerating machine oil, a recovery container 14 is installed on the delivery side of the gas refrigerant pipe 4, and the refrigerating machine oil and foreign matter in the using side unit 1, the gas refrigerant pipe 4 and the liquid refrigerant pipe 3 are collected in the recovery container 14 by the drive of the new heat source side unit 102.
