<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of an image quality due to disagreement of a state of an image forming apparatus with a gamma curve used in gamma conversion processing. <P>SOLUTION: Image data transmitted from a printing controller 2 is subjected to gamma conversion processing on the basis of the gamma curve. The image data subjected to gamma conversion processing is stored in an image memory 13. In the image forming apparatus 1 which carries out image formation on the basis of the image data stored in the image memory 13, in the case of carrying out image formation of a plurality of copies, if it is selected to execute correction of the gamma curve even during the execution of a job, the image data is transmitted also after the second copy from the printing controller 2. If it is selected not to execute correction of the gamma curve during the execution of the job, only the image data of the first copy is transmitted from the printing controller 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
