<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of achieving the luminance of a lamp and preventing the luminance variation of the lamp, proving the thinning and miniaturization of the luminaire body, and having the improved appearance because of looking like a substantially rectangle when the light distribution panel is viewed from a location deviated from the lateral side. <P>SOLUTION: A flat lamp 6 has an arc tube 7 wound in a spiral manner in a substantially flat plane with an intermediate portion of the tube as a starting point. The flat lamp 6 is housed inside a thin box-shaped appliance body 5 attached to a wall 18 along the wall so as to be in parallel with the a surface of the wall. Bases 8 disposed on both end portions of the arc tube 7 of the flat lamp 6 are arranged on an upper portion and a lower portion of the appliance body 5, respectively. A light distribution panel 20 located in front of the flat lamp 6 is disposed on a front surface of the luminaire body 5 opposite to the wall surface. The light distribution panel 20 is formed in a rectangular shape of which a ratio of a lateral size to a longitudinal size is 1.05 to 1.20 when viewed from the front side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
