METAL PIGMENT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal pigment composition usable in a water-based coating and having excellent storage stability of the coating and excellent adhesiveness and chemical resistance when formed into a coated film with little deterioration in color tone.

SOLUTION: The metal pigment composition comprises at least one kind of amine molybdate (a). The metal pigment composition is characterized in that the metal pigment is coated with a resin which is a polymer of at least one kind (b-1) selected from a radically polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid, a phosphoric acid or a phosphonic acid monoester or diester having a radically polymerizable double bond and a coupling agent having the radically polymerizable double bond and (b-2) a monomer having the≥2 radically polymerizable double bonds.
