PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an arc contactor alleviating wear due to dropout of its surface, through restraint of development in a lateral direction of inner cracks occurring directly under the surface of one used for a gas switch. SOLUTION: To a base material structured of an alloy of copper and tungsten at either a fixed arc contactor or a movable arc contactor, a thermal conducting part with thermal conductivity higher than that of the base material is buried toward a depth direction from a face exposed to the arc in either a thin-plate or a core-like shape.
