PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistor insertion type gas-blast circuit breaker in which, in resistance contact parts of the respective cut-off parts, inserted resistors of which heat capacity is small can be used, and which can be manufactured economically with downsizing. SOLUTION: In a metal container 1, the main contact parts 11A, 11B and resistance contact parts 11A, 11B are provided, and a plurality of the cut-off parts 10A, 10B are arranged which are connected in series. In the respective cut-off parts 10A, 10B, hydraulic operation devices 20A, 20B are provided which are respectively independent. The respective hydraulic operation devices 20A, 20B have pressurizing means 21A, 21B which increase pressure of hydraulic oil, respectively, pressure accumulating means 22A, 22B for accumulating pressure of the hydraulic oil, detecting means 23A, 23B for detecting pressure of the hydraulic oil of these pressure accumulating means, and control means 24A, 24B for controlling the pressurizing means. Then, when the respective hydraulic operation devices 20A, 20B are interconnected by a control signal system line 30, and one pressurizing means is started, the other pressurizing means can be started by being forcibly synchronized with each other.
