PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an awakening support device, capable of effectively supporting safe drive by maintaining the awakening state of a driver, and to provide an awakening support method and a control program therefor. SOLUTION: The awakening support device 20 mounted on a vehicle 100 is adapted to acquire, upon the receipt of input of a drowsiness detection signal S1 from a drowsiness detector for detecting driver's drowsiness, profile information from a storage device 24 storing the profile information showing the concern of the driver, acquires information related to the driver's concern from an external database 31 as awakening effect information, and notifies the awakening effect information to the driver.
