PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive check valve free from a chattering phenomenon of a discoid valve element wherein the valve is repeatedly opened and closed quickly, capable of shortening a protruding part of the discoid valve element. SOLUTION: An inlet port 4, a valve chamber 3 and an outlet port 5 are formed by a valve casing consisting of a main body 1 and a lid member 2. An annular valve seat 8 is provided between the inlet port 4 and the valve chamber 3. A discoid valve element 6 for opening and closing the annular valve seat 8 is provided in the valve chamber 3. A protruding part 9 is provided on a lower end surface of the discoid valve element 6. An irregular pitch coil spring 7 for energizing the discoid valve element 6 to the annular valve seat 8 side is provided. For the irregular pitch coil spring 7, its pitch of a side near the discoid valve element 6 is short and the pitch of a side far from the discoid valve element 6 is long. The side near the discoid valve element 6 of the coil spring 7 is held by positioning a part of the coil spring 7 of the short pitch at an outer circumference of the protruding part 9 of the discoid valve element 6.
