PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor including an oil separator, capable of suppressing noise due to a discharging pulse, and a method of manufacturing the compressor. SOLUTION: The compressor is provided with a compressing portion intermittently compressing coolant including lubricant oil, a discharging chamber 19 into which the coolant compressed by the compressing portion flows, a separating chamber 21 separating the lubricant oil included in the coolant compressed by the compressing portion, and an inlet portion 23 leading the coolant in the discharging chamber 19 into the separating chamber. The shapes of the discharging chamber 19 and the inlet portion 23 are selected so as to make a value of pressure amplitude in resonance frequency about the pressure amplitude of the coolant flowing out from the separating chamber 21 generally equal to or smaller than a value of pressure amplitude in another frequency.
