PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To almost completely eliminate level difference between an asphalt pavement surface spread and levelled by a basic screed part and an asphalt pavement surface spread and levelled by an additional screed part. SOLUTION: A screed device for a paving machine comprises a basic screed part 21 and an additional screed part 22, wherein a position adjusting mechanism 30 is provided for adjusting the position of the additional screed part 22 to the basic screed part 21 in vertical and longitudinal directions.
