PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slicer capable of safely and sanitarily slicing a food material without directly touching the food material or a cutting tool by hand on each time of use, eliminating trouble in preparing and clearing up a knife or the like and highly efficiently slicing the food material. SOLUTION: A container 1 is installed with a rotary lid 2 formed by integrating slicing blades 3 with a shaft 4, when the rotary lid 2 is rotated by hand, the slicing blades 3 grate the food material inside the container 1 and simultaneously thereto, a pressing bottom 5 attached to the shaft 4 is moved by the engagement of screw threads to apply a pressure to the food material inside the container 1.
