PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of reducing electricity consumption and capable of reducing the operation noise generated when a decompression means is driven. SOLUTION: The rice cooker has a decompression control means 130 for driving a decompression pump 82, which constitutes a decompression means 81, for a preset driving time T1 after a prescribed time T2 elapses during the heat retention process. The decompression control means 130 is configured so that the prescribed time T2 before the decompression pump 82 is driven or the driving time T1 of the decompression pump 82 after the elapse of the prescribed time T2 is variable according to the preset heat-retaining temperature.
