CARBON-FIBER ROVING, LONG-FIBER PELLET CONTAINING THE SAME, AND FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN MOLDING

A carbon-fiber roving in which rigid carbon fibers are inhibited from being damaged or broken during production and which enables long-fiber pellets containing long carbon fibers to be industrially produced continuously. Also provided are: long-fiber pellets suitable for use in producing a fiber-reinforced resin molding which has mechanical strength characteristic of long carbon fibers and is excellent in electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and electromagnetic-wave-shielding properties; and a fiber-reinforced resin molding obtained from the pellets. The carbon-fiber roving is one comprising rigid carbon fibers and flexible fibers, wherein the flexible fibers have a Young's modulus 0.0005-0.5 times that of the rigid carbon fibers. The long-fiber pellets comprise the carbon-fiber roving and a resin for pellet formation with which the roving has been impregnated or coated.
