PURPOSE: A method for treating received facsimile data in a facsimile apparatus is provided to transmit and store facsimile data received the memory of the facsimile apparatus to a PC(Personal Computer) as a file, thereby editing freely the facsimile data by a user. CONSTITUTION: When facsimile data are received at the state that power of the PC is turned off, the data is stored by a memory receiving function. Thereafter, when the power of the PC is turned on and an uploading menu is selected by a user, a CPU(Central Processing Unit) confirms whether there are data received by the memory of the facsimile apparatus(306). When there are data, an uploading request is transmitted to the facsimile apparatus. The facsimile apparatus uploads the facsimile data to the PC through a previously determined non-standard protocol(308,310). The PC stores the uploaded facsimile data as a file(314).
