<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display which has a compensation function of a driving transistor characteristics and can reduce its power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A sampling transistor T1 samples the signal potential Vsig of the image signals supplied from the signal line SL and holds it in the holding capacitor C1. The drive transistor T2 feeds the drive current to the light emitting element EL according to the stored signal potential Vsig. A switching transistor T3 turns on before sampling the image signals and connects the holding capacitor C1 to the fixed potential Vss to set up the potential required for compensation. An auxiliary transistor T4 turns off before the switching transistor T3 turns on, and cuts off the current terminal S of the drive transistor T2 from the switching transistor T3 to stop the through-current from the power supply Vcc to the fixed potential Vss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
