<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for decomposing garbage which decomposes garbage discharged from a home and a food processing factory so as to reduce malodor and BOD in wastewater by action of microorganisms. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for decomposing garbage is constituted of a treating vessel housing materials to be treated composed of charged garbage and a hold material to become a carrier for the microorganisms having water-absorbing capability and water-holding capability and decomposing organic materials, and decomposing them while agitating, and a reaction vessel 6 housing the hold materials in the filled or stacked state, introducing the wastewater discharged from the treating vessel to filter it, and cleaning the wastewater by decomposing by the microorganisms the organic materials in the wastewater in the course of filtering. The treating vessel comprises a primary treating vessel 2 primarily treating the charged materials to be treated and a secondary treating vessel 3 receiving the materials to be treated containing solid materials treated in the primary treating vessel 2 and secondarily treating them by agitation again, and plant fibrous materials such as wood chips preliminarily carrying the microorganisms are used for the hold materials. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
