<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time and labor of remote control operation when remotely controlling an electric appliance in a remote control system. <P>SOLUTION: A remote control system 1 includes a remote controller 2 for remotely controlling an electric appliance 10 and transmitters 3 installed for rooms for transmitting room ID information of their rooms to the remote controller 2. In such a remote controller 2, a control unit collates user ID information which is generated by an information generation unit when a user U uses the remote controller 2, with user ID information being stored in a storage unit with reception of room ID information in a reception unit as a trigger. Furthermore, the control unit selects the electric appliance 10 in accordance with a combination of the user ID information that is matched as a result of the collation, and the received room ID information, and a control signal is transmitted to the electric appliance 10 by a transmission unit. Thus, the remote controller 2 automatically remotely controls the electric appliance 10, thereby reducing time and labor for operating the remote controller 2 during remote control of the electric appliance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
