PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing film which is excellent in contrast characteristics and has a reflective polarizer. SOLUTION: The polarizing film is produced by layering an alignment film on the reflective polarizer. The polarization direction of the reflective polarizer is almost aligned with that of the alignment film. The alignment film contains a dichroic pigment assembly and at least one wettability imparting agent selected from the group consisting of acetylene glycol-based compounds and acetylene alcohol-based compounds.
