PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a phosphatic fertilizer having high fertilizing efficiency from an organic waste water. SOLUTION: MgNH<SB>3</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>6H<SB>2</SB>O recovered from the organic waste water is stored in a container and converted to MgNH<SB>3</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>H<SB>2</SB>O by heating in the presence of steam at 50-150°C for 0.5-2 h. As the heating method, various methods such as heating while stirring and heating while flowing can be used. This substance is stabler than MgNH<SB>3</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>6H<SB>2</SB>O and not easily decomposed in the air and in the soil. Therefore, when it is used as a phosphatic fertilizer, it remains in the soil for a long time and high fertilizing efficiency can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
