The gearchange unit (14) includes a rod guide (18) for the gearchange slider (16). An intermediate gear shaft with a longitudinal axis extends parallel to the rod guide axis. The slider (16) changes between different gear ratios, when moved along the rod guide. It (16) is made from sheet metal (30) and has a coupling section (32) engaging a component in the gears. This (32) slides the gear component along the intermediate gear shaft. The gearchange slider is also connected to the gearchange knob (38).
