摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent which can flexibly be deformed to the bent section of a tubular organ, and can easily be handled while having a less contraction in the longitudinal direction during insertion, and to provide a therapeutic tool for the tubular organ. <P>SOLUTION: This stent 1 is integrally formed into a tubular shape by axially arranging five cylindrical unit elements and connecting them with a connecting thread F. Each cylindrical unit is formed into a closed-loop shape in such a manner that a wire material made of a metal is cut by a specified length, and is bent into a zigzag shape in the peripheral direction, and both end sections are connected and fixed. The cylindrical unit element W is connected with the cylindrical unit element U1 while two bent sections axially projecting are formed, and is rockably held. In the same manner, the cylindrical unit element V is rockably held by the cylindrical unit element W as well, and the overall stent can easily be deformed into a bent shape. Shape-retaining members X1 and X2 made of a shape memory alloy material are axially attached to the cylindrical unit element, and the cylindrical unit element is held under the bent state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
